Personal Practice & Home Lessons
My practice began at a Hatha Yoga Studio in Brussels, which I joined to ease a lingering pain in my ankle that had been with me since an accident in my 20s.
From 2011-2013, I pursued a teacher training course with Sash Missaghi to deepen my knowledge of yoga.
Over the years, I completed two other teacher training courses (200H and 300H) with François Raoult.
I’ve also attended yoga workshops with Martine Le Chenic, Linda Spackman, Donna Farhi, Richard Rosen, Thomas Fortel, and Max Strom, among others.
After spending years as a journalist, I turned full-time to yoga. Returning the gaze inwards was difficult but ultimately liberating.
However, the sceptic journalist in me is still strong, and I retain a sober distance from any dewy-eyed devotion to one ideology or teacher.
I continue to attend classes to sharpen my own practice through the eyes of a teacher and keep diving into more profound knowledge through workshops.
In the past year, I’ve trained at an Iyengar Studio in India and learnt Vedic studies and chanting from illuminated teachers.
My official stamp from Yoga Alliance is E-RYT500, which means I’m an Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher allowed to train other yoga teachers.
I feel at home in the yoga tradition of BKS Iyengar and continue my practice in my home studio or at an Iyengar Studio in Brussels.
Sometimes students turn to yoga to slow down the ageing process and I can help in that aspect.
The private lessons and home classes I provide allow me to address more specific problems or fragilities, such as post-surgery, anxiety, disruptive sleep or recovery from an illness.
